Accessibility statement
If we sell compliant websites, ours had better be one. Here's where we stand. Last updated 14 May 2026.
Our commitment
We aim to make practicedigital.co.uk usable by as many people as possible, regardless of how they access the web. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a minimum, and beyond it where we can.
What we test against
- Automated tooling — axe-core and Lighthouse — on every page, on every release.
- Keyboard-only navigation of every interactive element.
- Screen-reader testing with VoiceOver (Safari, iOS) and NVDA (Firefox).
- Colour contrast against WCAG AA thresholds in both light and dark backgrounds.
- Zoom up to 400% without loss of content or functionality.
- Reduced-motion preferences respected for non-essential animations.
Known issues
We're a small team and the site is iterating quickly. Known issues at the date above:
- The drag-and-drop areas in the onboarding wizard and the message composer rely on visual feedback that may not be obvious to non-visual users. A standard "Choose files" button is provided alongside.
- Some decorative SVG icons in the homepage hero are aria-hidden by design; the surrounding text conveys all meaning.
We do not use accessibility overlay tools. They are widely discredited and we explicitly avoid them on our own site and the sites we build for clients.
Tell us if you find a problem
If you encounter anything that's hard to access, please tell us. We treat accessibility issues as priority defects.
- Email: [email protected]
- We will reply within five working days.
- Critical issues that prevent access to information will be fixed within ten working days.
Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. If you're not happy with how we've responded to an accessibility complaint, you can contact the EHRC.
Technical detail
This site uses semantic HTML, ARIA where useful, and progressive enhancement so that the core information remains accessible without JavaScript. Forms have explicit labels. Headings follow a logical hierarchy. Colour is never the sole means of conveying information.
