Websites for CQC-registered aesthetic clinics.

If your aesthetic clinic carries out CQC-regulated activities, you're required to disclose your registration, your regulated activities, and your inspection rating on your patient-facing material. Most CQC-registered aesthetic clinic sites do this poorly. We build it in by default.

What CQC expects on the website

Your CQC registration number visible (typically in the footer). The specific regulated activities you're registered to provide. A link to your most recent inspection report on the CQC website. Your registered manager's name. If you have an Outstanding or Good rating, that rating is appropriately displayed; if you have a Requires Improvement or Inadequate rating, you can't omit it.

Our default CQC disclosures

Every CQC-registered clinic site we build ships with: a footer CQC block with registration number and inspection link, a 'Regulation & standards' page that explains your registered activities and links to your inspection report, structured Organization schema that includes your CQC registration as a credential.

If you're NOT CQC-registered

Don't imply you are. Many aesthetic clinics fall outside CQC registration because the specific activities don't trigger the threshold. That's fine — but your website shouldn't use language like 'CQC-aware' or 'CQC-aligned' if you're not registered. The MHRA and ASA both treat that as misleading.

Frequently asked questions

How do we know if our clinic needs CQC registration?

If you're not sure, the CQC's own guidance and a call to their helpline is the right answer. We can build a compliant site either way, but the registration decision is yours.

What happens if we get a Requires Improvement rating after launch?

We update the disclosure on the site within 48 hours of the published report. Hiding a rating is non-compliant and we won't help with that.
