NHS GP surgery websites in Wales — Cymraeg first.

Wales has its own healthcare regulator (Healthcare Inspectorate Wales), its own statutory language framework (the Welsh Language Standards), and its own primary-care benchmarking expectations. Most UK GP-website providers treat Wales as an afterthought. We don't — Practice Digital was built by a BCUHB Cluster Lead, with Welsh content and HIW compliance as first-class concerns from day one.

Cymraeg, properly

Welsh isn't a translation widget bolted onto an English page. The Welsh-language version of every page is a full first-class mirror with the same structure, the same urgent banners, the same online-services routes. Patients land in Welsh or English based on their browser preference and the toggle is one click on every page.

Our default content is reviewed by a Welsh-speaking GP. Statutory language (privacy notices, accessibility statements, complaints process) is translated to professional standard, not Google-Translated.

HIW awareness

Healthcare Inspectorate Wales has its own inspection framework and its own expectations of how a GP surgery presents itself online. We've read the framework. The practical things — your accountable GP, your complaints process, your duty-of-candour framing, your patient-participation-group page — are all included in our standard build, in Welsh and English.

Three languages beyond Cymraeg

Polski (the largest non-British community in Wales), Română (the fastest-growing newer-arrival community), and Punjabi (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ) / Urdu (اردو) for long-established South Asian heritage communities. All four included as standard with no add-on charge. See the languages page for the full list.

What every Welsh practice gets

Bespoke design, NHS England benchmarking-compliant (England-side patients accessing Welsh practices still get the right experience), HIW-aware copy and structure, all six languages, WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility, urgent publishing, daily backups, 48-hour update SLA, annual compliance review, direct WhatsApp + phone line, and free content migration if you ever leave. £399 a year, locked for five years.

Frequently asked questions

Are you on any NHS Wales framework agreement?

Not yet — we're early in NHS Wales procurement. Practices that choose us today work with us directly via their own procurement route. PCN-level deals available.

Do you support Welsh-language clinical content review?

Yes. Our Welsh-speaking GP signs off Cymraeg patient-facing content the same way our English-speaking GPs sign off the English version.

Ready when you are.

Built and owned by working NHS doctors and practice managers in North Wales.
