Semble (formerly HeydoChi) is built for UK private GPs and consultants and does that job well. Document templating, PMI billing integration, secretary workflows — all first class. Where it gets uncomfortable is the per-consultant pricing, especially when consultants take on regular hours rather than session-by-session contracts. Practice Digital is the flat-per-clinic alternative.
Where Semble fits
Established private GP practices with deep PMI billing integration and complex secretary workflows. Multi-consultant outpatient settings that benefit from Semble's document templating. Settings where the patient billing is the bigger workflow than the patient booking.
Where Practice Digital fits
Private GP practices, especially newer ones or those expanding. Consultant practices where you want a website that converts patients online (Semble doesn't include a website). Clinics where the per-consultant maths starts to bite at 3+ consultants.
Per-consultant Semble pricing at the upper end is around £130/head/month. Three consultants is £390/month, £4,680/year. Practice Digital is £99/month flat, £1,188/year, unlimited consultants.
What we don't do (yet)
Native PMI billing integration. If your workflow is deeply tied to AXA / Bupa / Aviva native billing pipelines, Semble has the head start and we'd be honest about that. We integrate via Stripe + manual invoice export today; a native PMI module is on our roadmap but not shipped.
Document templates and letter generation
We ship a UK-NHS-aligned letter template library — referral letters, discharge summaries, GP communication — that you can customise. E-signature on consent forms, audit trail on every clinical record, regulator-ready export on demand.

Can you handle insurance billing?
Via Stripe + manual export today. We don't yet have AXA/Bupa native integration. If that's a deal-breaker for your practice, Semble may be the better fit until our roadmap lands.
